A Free Tebex Template for Developers

by | 4 Mar, 2026

Monetizing a game server with Tebex is powerful in theory, but limiting in practice. While Tebex provides a robust commerce backend, most store owners are constrained by default themes, expensive premium templates, or restrictive visual editors.

Today, I am announcing a fully custom Tebex Headless API template built with Next.js and ShadCN UI. This project was designed to remove those limitations and give developers complete control over their storefront. It will be released for free on GitHub so anyone can build a unique and fully customized Tebex webstore without paying for themes or relying on outdated templates.

The Problem with Traditional Tebex Templates

Tebex offers solid infrastructure for payments, package management, taxation, and fraud protection. However, the frontend experience often falls short.

Many server owners face the same issues:

  • Default themes feel generic and visually outdated.
  • Premium templates are costly and widely reused.
  • Template editors limit layout flexibility and have a monthly subscription.
  • Deep customization requires workarounds instead of clean architecture.

As a result, many stores look identical, and branding potential is lost.

The core issue is not Tebex itself. The issue is relying on it to render your frontend.

Why Headless Is the Right Approach

Tebex provides a Headless API. This allows you to use Tebex purely as a commerce backend while building your own frontend application from scratch.

Instead of modifying a template, you create a real web application that communicates with the Tebex API. This approach provides:

  • Complete control over layout and user experience
  • Freedom to design without restrictions
  • Scalability using modern frontend architecture
  • Clean separation between backend commerce logic and frontend presentation

This project embraces that philosophy entirely.

The Tech Stack

The template is built using a modern and production-ready stack:

  • Next.js (App Router)
  • ShadCN UI
  • TailwindCSS
  • Tebex Headless API
  • TebexJS for embedded checkout

Rather than being a theme layered on top of Tebex, it is a structured web application designed for extensibility and maintainability.

Core Features

The template includes everything needed to launch a fully functional and modern Tebex store.

Tebex OAuth Integration

Default Tebex OAuth is integrated, including support for CFX and other providers supported by Tebex. Authentication flows are handled cleanly within the Next.js application.

Support for Required Package Variables

The template fully supports required variables defined in Tebex packages, including integrations such as Discord OAuth and custom user input fields. This ensures compatibility with advanced server configurations.

Coupon and Creator Code Support

Coupon codes and creator codes are integrated directly into the custom checkout flow. These are handled using the Headless API and TebexJS to maintain a seamless user experience.

Automatic Category Detection

Categories are automatically fetched from your Tebex store configuration. There is no need to manually replicate category structures in the frontend.

Custom Mini Cart System

A fully custom mini cart system replaces the traditional redirect-based checkout experience. Users can manage items in real time before completing checkout via TebexJS embed functionality.

This provides a smoother and more modern purchasing flow.

Dark and Light Mode

The interface includes built-in theme switching, allowing store owners to provide both dark and light experiences without additional configuration.

Store Customization Options

The template allows easy customization of:

  • Store name
  • Store description
  • Hero section layout
  • Social links
  • Branding elements

These configurations are structured cleanly so developers can adapt the project to their needs without rewriting core logic.

The Idea Behind This Project

This project was built around a simple belief:

You should not have to pay to make your store look unique.

Game servers are creative projects driven by communities. Their stores should reflect that creativity. By using the Headless API properly, Tebex becomes what it was always meant to be: a powerful commerce engine, not a frontend limitation.

This template gives developers the freedom to design something truly custom while still relying on Tebex for payments, compliance, and infrastructure.

Free and Open Source

The entire project will be released for free on GitHub.

There are no locked features, no paid tiers, and no restricted components. The goal is to provide a strong foundation that developers can fork, modify, extend, and adapt to their own server branding and business model.

Whether you run a FiveM server, a Minecraft network, or any Tebex-powered platform, this template provides a starting point for building a professional and scalable storefront.
